Evaluation and selection criteria

How to apply?

EURO-FBP ITC Conference Grants call open!

Conference Grants are aimed at supporting PhD students and ECI researchers from participating ITC to attend international science and technology related conferences not specifically organized by the COST Action.

  • PhD students and Early Career Investigators (ECI) with a primary affiliation in an institution located in an ITC.
  • The applicant must be engaged in an official research programme as a PhD Student or postdoctoral fellow.
  • The applicant must make an oral/poster presentation at the conference.
  • The applicant must be listed in the official event/conference programme.
  • Application must be sent at least 45 days before the start date of the conference.
  • The main subject of the presentation oral presentation / poster presentation / speech at the approved conference must be on the topic of the Action and must acknowledge COST.

The ITCG coordinator will evaluate the applications and select grantees based on the following criteria:
  • The selection of successful applicants will be done in consideration of the scientific scope of the proposed mission and how the mission can support the Action in achieving its scientific objectives. The Euro-FBP Action will prioritize applications focusing on the tasks of Working Groups (WGs), i.e. on ranking or surveillance systems (WG1), on development or implementation of new methods (WG2), looking at interventions (WG3), or global trends and risk assessment (WG4).
  • Applicants who have not previously received a Euro-FBP grant will be prioritized.
  • Geographical and gender balance issues will be considered.
  • Attendance at European conferences is preferred.
  • For more general information on ITC Conference Grants, please contact EURO-FBP ITC Conference Grants coordinator Olgica Djurkovic (olgicadj@imi.bg.ac.rs)
